In January 2026, Mentor to Impact signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bharat Technology and Impact Accelerator (Bharatia), a non-profit green accelerator foundation working to design and scale first-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects across environment and sustainability sectors in India and the Global South. The signing marks the start of a strategic collaboration between the partners focused on the development of skills, capacity building, and delivering an economic and just impact within the green energy sector.
The partnership between Mentor to Impact and Bharatia will jointly develop fit-for-purpose, project-embedded skills frameworks to link skills creation directly to sectoral investments, workforce demand, and local implementation needs. This will be achieved through the shared use and exchange of the core expertise held by the respective partners.
Mentor to Impact’s key function is to act as the Master Framework Developer, responsible for designing the overarching curriculum architecture, pedagogical standards, and delivery methodologies. Bharatia’s foremost role is to develop and anchor projects across multiple sectors with skills development and capacity building integrated as a core project component.
Key elements of the MoU include:
- Designing modular, scalable and industry-aligned curricula that are responsive to on-ground project requirements and labour market needs.
- Establishing of sector-specific skills development and capacity-building frameworks across Bharatia-led projects in mobility, transport, energy, water, agriculture, waste, construction, and related sectors.
- Enabling localisation and scaling through a structured train-the-trainer approach using in-country partners.
- Co-developing certification pathways that are recognised by industry, employers, and ecosystem stakeholders, thereby making skills acquisition commercially and professionally attractive.
- Progressively building a branded Global South skills programme with credibility, portability, and long-term institutional relevance.
The collaboration between Mentor to Impact and Bharatia will bring skills development closer to practical application by embedding learning directly into projects, rather than treating it as a separate add-on. Together, the partners aim to accelerate the energy transition while keeping people at the centre to support a just and inclusive transition towards a better and greener world.
